Ondrox Patent & News
January, 2003 - Approval of Patent By United States Patent and Trademark Office
“The
present invention concerns a formulation of vitamins, minerals
and other beneficial supplements which has been demonstrated
to be cancer-protective. It is believed that the formulations
of the present invention will also protect against cardiovascular
disorders, extend longevity as well as to facilitate immunological
integrity in humans.
More specifically, the invention is directed to a formulation
and methods of manufacturing and administering a formulation
containing vitamins and minerals in association with antioxidants,
fish oils, enzymes, and amino acids. The formulations of the
present invention provide synergistic relationships which have
not previously been reported. As a preferred embodiment, the
formulations of the present invention are manufactured as a
sustained-release tableted dietary supplement and are intended
as daily supplements.”

June, 1999 - Endorsement By The National Foundation for Cancer Research
In May of 1999, Ondrox™ received an endorsement from the
National
Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR). NFCR has provided over
$160 million to scientists around the world for basic research
on cancer prevention and causation. One of the projects is led
by Dr. Bruce Ames at the University of California at Berkeley,
California, who received in April, 1999 the coveted National
Medal for Science from President Clinton.
Dr. Ames conducted research on the impact of nutrition on health
and found that certain key micronutrients play a very pivotal
role in maintaining good health. A deficiency in some of these
ingredients could cause damage to DNA similar to radiation.
This in turn could lead to the promotion of cancer. Another
conclusion from the research indicates most Americans do not
consume the recommended five portions of fruits and vegetables
every day. Therefore, taking daily supplements is an economic
means to build up the body's own defenses against cancer and
to prolong life expectancy.
The endorsement of Ondrox™ as a reliable and reputable
source of nutrients by NFCR is its first and only act taken
to help educate the public on the importance of nutrients in
helping to prevent cancer. The endorsement is the outcome of
a review of research data on the core formulation of Ondrox™
developed at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Texas, rated as
the second best cancer treatment center in the U.S.
February, 1997 - Ondrox™ Helps Tumor Suppressing
In recent months there has been extensive publicity about the
discovery at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center of a specific chemical
in cigarettes that is directly responsible for most lung cancers.
The research proves that the chemical causes damage to the
p53 tumor suppressor gene that normally prevents the cancer
cells from growing out of control. The finding was acclaimed
by the scientific community as the most significant break through
in establishing the direct link between cigarette and cancer.
At the same research park, animal tests originally performed
to design an ideal antioxidant cocktail showed that the animals
benefitted from the formulation by inhibiting the formation
and progression of cancer, and indeed prolonging their life.
Recently, further progress in research has proven again in
animal trials that even with the mutated oncogenes and absence
of the tumor suppressor genes (p53 knock out gene), mice can
live much longer if given certain anti-oxidants, and lower caloric
intake. The mutated oncogenes cause cancer to grow, while the
suppressor genes normally prevents cancer from developing or
progressing. The latter are the same good genes that, if given
certain antioxidants and a lower caloric intake, are capable
of prolonging the animals' life even when their genes are adversely
altered.
